NIMHANS Convention Center

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

A grand welcome from the Organizing Committee, 36th INDIAN IMMUNOLOGY SOCIETY, Department of NEURO-MICROBIOLOGY, National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore. NIMHANS is a multidisciplinary, premier Institute, known for service, manpower development and research. A multidisciplinary integrated approach to patient care as well as research is the mainstay of this institute, paving the way to translate the results from the desk to the bedside which also happens to be the theme of the meeting.

We have conceptualized the conference scientific program to include prestigious orations as well as symposia on various aspects of immunology which is aimed to include every thing possibly worked on. There will be panel discussion on the conference theme and on the future perspectives of immunology. In addition, there will be both platform and poster presentations. Eminent scholars would be invited as plenary speakers.

We take pride in inviting you to Bangalore, the Garden City and the most happening city of India. Bangalore the capital city of Karnataka, is known for educational institutions of high repute, leading information technology companies, important public sector enterprises and defence establishments. It is one of the fastest growing metropolitan cities in Asia. Bangalore usually enjoys salubrious climate throughout the year. The temperature during December is around 15°C- 28oC and light woolen clothing may be required in the late evenings and early morning hours. Bangalore is an attractive tourist place with availability of diverse shopping experiences and cuisine apart from friendly locals, which will make one's stay in the city memorable.

We extend our warm welcome to all the delegates. We hope that you will have an enriching scientific experience and a happy memorable stay. We look forward to your active participation in making this event a grand success.

With warm regards,

Members of the Organizing Committee
